- Texas Tech now leads the all-time series against UTSA 5-1.
- Tonight's game marked the first Division I win for the Red Raiders since Feb. 26 that did not feature sophomore right-hander Chad Bettis. Bettis had been a part of every Tech win since late February with the exception of the LCU game on March 23.
- Nate Karns fanned a career-high 11 batters tonight surpassing his previous high of nine set against LCU on March 23.
- Junior center fielder Taylor Ashby led the Tech offense with three hits and an RBI while freshman DH Scott LeJeune went 2-for-5 with an RBI to extend his current hit streak to four games.
- Senior first baseman Chris Richburg hit safely in both games to extend his current hit streak to six games.
