Dowdy Earns All-Tournament Honors

OMAHA, Neb. - With 17 kills over the two matches of the Bluejay Invitational at Creighton, sophomore outside hitter Amanda Dowdy joined three Illini and a pair of Bluejays on the all tournament team. No. 10-ranked Illinois went 2-0 on the weekend to win the event and Illini outside hitter Laura DeBruler picked up MVP honors.
Dowdy, who average 2.83 kills per set, also posted four service aces in the two matches and had nine digs, good for a 1.50 average per set mark.
