LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raiders travel to College Station for Saturday's 8 PM game against the Texas A&M Aggies.
Saturday's game is featured on Fox Sports Southwest. Greg Lucas will call the play-by-play and Jim Haller will provide the game analysis.
On the radio, Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship station Double T 104.3. The game is also featured on Sirius Radio channel 127.
The Red Raiders and the Aggies are meeting for the 121st time since the series began on December 17, 1941. Texas Tech leads the 64-56. The Red Raiders have a 36-18 margin in Lubbock and a 6-4 edge on neutral courts. Texas A&M has a 34-22 advantage in College Station.
Last season, Texas A&M won both regular season meetings while Texas Tech won the last meeting, a first-round win in the Big 12 Championship.
On March 11, the No. 11 seeded Red Raiders defeated the No. 6 seeded Aggies 88-83 behind the record setting performance of Mike Singletary.
The junior from Humble, Texas, set a Big 12 Championship record in the March 11 game with 43 points against the Aggies. He had 29 consecutive points for the Red Raiders with no other teammate scoring, the second-longest streak by a player in NCAA history.
Overall, Texas A&M is 14-6 for the season and 3-3 in Big 12 play. Their wins have been at home over Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Colorado. Their losses have been on the road against Kansas State, Texas, and Oklahoma State.
Donald Sloan leads his team with 18.0 points per game. Derrick Roland adds 10.5 points per game. Bryan Davis tops his squad with 7.1 rebounds per game.
The Aggies are averaging 72.7 points per game and holding their opponents to 64.8 points per outing.
After their 95-83 loss at Texas on Wednesday, the Red Raiders are 14-6 for the season and 2-4 in conference play.
Texas Tech held a 50-47 halftime lead in Austin after sinking 19 of 39 shots from the field, including 8-of-13 three-point attempts.
Texas canned 19-of-32 attempts (.594) in the second half for 48 points to Texas Tech's 12-of-30 attempts and 33 points for the 95-83 win at home.
Four Red Raiders scored in double figures in Austin. John Roberson led the squad with 27 points. Mike Singletary dropped in 20 points. Nick Okorie scored 14 points, and Theron Jenkins came off the bench to add 12 points.
The Red Raiders are averaging 78.2 points per outing while opponents are posting 74.2 points per game.
Mike Singletary leads the team with 15.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. John Roberson is scoring 14.5 points per game. David Tairu adds 10.7 points per contest.
The Red Raiders return to the United Spirit Arena on February 6 in a 12:30 PM match-up with Oklahoma State.
