LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raiders and No. 3 Lady Raiders cross country teams are set for the NCAA Mountain Regional meet held at the Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the Lady Raiders are looking for their fifth-straight trip to the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
The Lady Raider cross country team has qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships the last four years and won its only NCAA Mountain Regional title in 2008.
Tech women are the top-ranked team in the Mountain Region at No. 3 but will face stiff competition from No. 8 Colorado and No. 10 New Mexico. The Tech men will be in a field that includes No.7 Northern Arizona, No. 9 Colorado, No. 10 New Mexico and No. 15 BYU.
