Lewandowski Honored for Academics, Service, and Leadership

The Big 12 Conference, in conjunction with Chick-fil-A has announced the Spring Community of Champions. Texas Tech's Robert Lewandowski has been honored for academics, community service, and leadership.
During the fall, winter and spring terms, one student-athlete from each institution has been honored based on the following criteria:
Academics: An academic standard of a 3.00 grade point average or higher must be maintained.
Community Service: The designated student-athlete should be involved with at least one community service program. The program(s) could be a student organization on campus or within the athletics department.
Leadership/Sportsmanship: The student-athlete should demonstrate leadership and sportsmanship on and off the field.
In his first two seasons, Robert has played in 64 games and has 23 starts. On the court, his top career marks are 20 points at Texas A&M last season and 10 rebounds at Oklahoma State last season.
This season, Robert's top marks came in the 87-69 win over Seton Hall in the NIT when he scored ten points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Off the court, Robert, an Exercise and Sports Sciences major, has been active for two years with Knight Readers and other service organizations in the Lubbock community.
The institution of the student-athletes' on this list will be awarded $3,000 each year from Chick-fil-A for their efforts.
