Aug. 21, 2010
LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech wrapped up its second and final scrimmage today at 12:15 p.m. inside Jones AT&T Stadium. The scrimmage concluded what was the 14th day of training camp and will give the coaches plenty to review on Sunday when the players are off.
Coach Tuberville told the media afterwards that the coaching staff will review the film and that a starting quarterback would be announced at the first of the week. Both quarterbacks had solid days but now the decision rests in the hands of offensive coordinator Neal Brown and coach Tuberville.
The scrimmage covered a total of 107 total plays.
TECH DEFENSE GRANTS A WISH, ADOPTS ZACHARY JUDAH
The Texas Tech defense has adopted Zachary Judah for the 2010 football season. Zachary is in remission after a battle with cancer and is a huge fan of the Red Raiders. Defensive lineman Myles Wade first met Zachary less than a year ago and they became fast friends, and now Zachary is an honorary member of the Tech defense. Zachary and his family stopped by practice and you can see the photos by clicking here.
SUNDAY OFF
Texas Tech will enjoy its second off day of training camp tomorrow as no workouts are scheduled - only team meetings. That's good news for the team as nearly all of them will tell you they are ready for the break from practice.
