Texas Tech Travels to Ames to Face Iowa State

LUBBOCK, TX - After their thrilling 72-71 win over Nebraska, the Red Raiders travel to Ames, Iowa, for Wednesday's 8:00 p.m. game against the Iowa State Cyclones.
The telecast will originate on the Cyclone Television Network with the Texas Tech Television Network (TTSN) utilizing the broadcast feed. Iowa State's B.J. Schaben will provide the play-by-play and Kevin Lehman will add the game analysis.
In the Lubbock area, the game will air on AT&T U-verse (756 and 1756) and is broadcast over-the-air on KLBK-TV. The game is also available on ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.
Mark Finkner will call the courtside action against the Cyclones along with analyst Andy Ellis on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship radio station Double T 104.3.
The series with Iowa State began on December 8, 1955, and each team has won nine games. The Cyclones hold a 6-2 margin in Ames and the Red Raiders have a 6-2 advantage in Lubbock. Each team has won a neutral site meeting.
Iowa State completed the nonconference portion of their season with a 13-2 record and are 1-4 in conference play. The Cyclones opened conference play with two losses. They lost at Nebraska, 63-62, and then returned home and lost a close game to Kansas, 84-79. Three days later, ISU grabbed a 72-57 win over Baylor before losing their last two road games. They fell at Oklahoma State in overtime, 96-87, and at Missouri on Saturday, 87-54.
After twenty games, Iowa State has averaged 75.9 points per game while holding their opponents to 63.7 points per game. They have five players averaging double figures for the season. Diante Garrett has started each game and leads the Cyclones with 17.4 points per game. Scott Christopherson follows with 13.5 points in his 19 starts. Jake Anderson leads the team with 7.8 rebounds per contest and he is posting 11.9 points game. Jamie Vanderbeken also drops in 11.9 points per game. Melvin Ejim adds 11.2 points per outing.
On Saturday, the Red Raiders won their first conference game in thrilling fashion with their 72-71 win over Nebraska on senior D'walyn Roberts's tip-in from a Red Raider missed layup with 3.8 seconds in the game.
Texas Tech's John Roberson led both squads with 25 points. Roberson was 8 of 11 from the field, 7 of 10 in three-point attempts, and 2 of 3 from the free throw line. Mike Singletary scored 14 points and Brad Reese added 10 points for the Red Raiders.
After twenty games, Texas Tech is averaging 73.1 points per game and allowing their opponents to score 75.3 points per game. The Red Raiders have three players averaging double figures. John Roberson leads the team with 13.0 points per contest. Mike Singletary is the leading rebounder with 6.0 rebounds per game and averages 12.8 points per game. Brad Reese follows with 12.0 points per outing.
This week's edition of Red Raider Basketball with Pat Knight will be broadcast live tonight on the Texas Tech Sports Network from Learfield Sports. The show will be hosted live from Wing Stop located at 6807 Slide Road beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Head coach Pat Knight will be joined by host Mark Finkner to discuss the most recent Texas Tech win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and to preview tomorrow night's game against Delaware State.
