On getting the ball inside against Baylor - "With the length they had it was really difficult getting the ball inside. When we were passing or dribbling they were covering areas well and that made it difficult."
On playing his first Big 12 game - "I knew it was going to be tough because there is just a lot of talent in the Big 12, but I came into it just like it was any regular game, any preseason game so I would be confident."
On preparing for Texas - "We are going to go in the next game just like we did the first one and the one after that just keep everything the same because if we approach it differently then we play differently but this time we just need to be more aggressive and not turn the ball over as much."
On the Texas Tech loss - "We talk about toughness all the time. In the second half, we played tough and we came back. We tied it up at one time and took a one point lead at another time. But we let it slip through our hands. We knew what we needed to do on that last time out and we didn't do it."
On preparing for Baylor's zone defense - "We planned to go inside out. That was the emphasis in practice all week. Pound the ball inside and we didn't do that in the first half of the game. But, we came back out and did it in the second half."

On Baylor's zone defense - "It didn't do much to us. We got the shots we needed. We just missed layups and some easy shots around the basket. We got careless with the ball and those ten turnovers in the first half hurt because that's ten opportunities lost. we had to From a passing stand point, the zone hurt us, but from a shooting stand point, we got the shots. We have to do better making open shots. I thought we did a good job at making adjustments. In the second half we took better care of the ball
On being up by one point during the second half - "Anytime you get up by a point in the second half, you feel like you let the game slip away. They made more plays than us and they made some shots. When we started fouling, they were able to extend the lead."
On playing against Baylor's zone - "That's the one thing about a zone, it will always let you in the game because you can get shots off of it. A team can get back in the game if they take care of the ball and hit some shots. We told our guys to be patient and at the next time out on the court to get some stops. It worked each time and we need to be more patient with the ball to get back into the game."
