Tanui Named Big 12 Cross Country Runner of the Week

Texas Tech's Rose Tanui was named the Big 12 Female Cross Country Runner of the Week for winning her third-straight individual title of the season.
Tanui won her third-straight title and seventh of her career at the Grass Route Festival-Grand Prix this past Saturday. She clocked a 21:13.4 over the 6K course to beat teammate Caroline Jepleting by three seconds. The senior All-American has placed in the top five of every race in her career at Tech.
The Lady Raiders cross country team's next meet will be the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday, Oct. 15.
