Dominguez Leads Entering Final Round in Puerto Rico

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's golfer Gabby Dominguez will enter Tuesday's final round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic with a share of the tournament lead after firing an even-par 72 Monday at the Rio Mar Country Club.
Dominguez opened the tournament Sunday with a 1-under 71 and stands at 1-under entering the third and final round on Tuesday. She is tied with Stephanie Meadow of Alabama who fired a 2-under 70 on Monday.
Even with Dominguez' performance, the Lady Raiders fell one spot in the team standings, dropping to 12th overall after a 23-over 311 second round. Tech sits 45-over for the tournament and trails Oregon by one stroke for 11th overall and SMU by three strokes for 10th.
Alabama continues to maintain a significant team lead at 8-over-par with Iowa State trailing by nine strokes in second and Florida State sitting in third at 22-over.
Deborah DeVilla finished the day with a 7-over 79 to sit in a tie for 50th overall at 13-over for the tournament. Kim Kaufman added a 7-over round as well to sit one stroke back of DeVilla, while Hannah Arnold added a 9-over 81 to move to 19-over for the week. Tech's lone remaining player, Alex Gibson, finished with a 17-over second round.
