Senior David Tairu was planned to make tonight's starting lineup instead of Wally Dunn, but David asked Coach Knight during the pre-game meal if he could give his starting spot to Wally. Coach Knight completely understood and inserted Wally in the starting five.
Mike Singletary registered his 13th career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
John Roberson has moved into sole possession of the No. 8 career scoring spot for Texas Tech with 1,732 points. Entering tonight's game, John and assistant coach Bubba Jennings had each totaled 1,727 points.
John Roberson handed out seven assists against Oklahoma. He has 625 career assists and 311 career assists in conference games.
