"They got after us pretty well. We did not shoot well in the second half. We had our chances, but we just didn't capitalize. They took good advantage of our missed dunk and on the lay-up we missed by scoring at their end on each occasion."

"He's a great kid. He's played with foot and back pain for all the season. He rested when he knew he had to stop. I wish I had 13 of him on this team."
On Texas A&M's defense
"They did a very good job of cutting off the driving lanes and we ended up moving from side to side rather attacking the basket."
On Texas Tech's shooting
"It was a combination of us taking some quick shots rather than working the ball in our motion offense and A&M's defense. Their effort on defense was the very good and that translated into some steals and turnovers for them."
