FIRST PITCH
Texas Tech continues its nine-game road trip - longest since 1986 - with a midweek stop in San Marcos, Texas, where they will face Texas State for a 6:30 p.m. first-pitch Monday at Bobcat Stadium. Texas Tech is 3-2 on the road trip so far after sweeping New Mexico in a midweek set last week and taking one of three at Texas. The Bobcats are coming off a series win over Southeastern Louisiana this past weekend at home. Texas State is 16-6 on its home field while Tech is 6-6 on the road this season.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Texas Tech and Texas State meet for the 13th time Monday as the all-time series is tied at 6-6. The Bobcats lead the series 2-0 in San Marcos while Tech holds a 4-3 lead in Lubbock and a 2-1 advantage on a neutral field. Texas State has won four straight in the series dating back to 2003, where Tech previously posted a five-game winning streak from 1999-2003. Tech will look for its first-ever win in San Marcos over the Bobcats as the two teams meet for the fourth consecutive year.
