FIRST PITCH
Texas Tech welcomes Dallas Baptist for its final midweek home game of the season on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Dan Law Field. Both teams enter hot after Tech swept Kansas last weekend and the Patriots have won five in a row and nine of their last 10 games. Texas Tech defeated DBU earlier this season in Dallas with a late-game comeback that led to a 7-6 victory. The Red Raiders enter 9-2 in midweek games. This will be Tech's final game before taking six days off for Tech's spring class finals schedule.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Texas Tech and Dallas Baptist meet for the second time this season and for the 17th time in series history as Tech holds a 10-6 lead. The series is tied (5-5) in Lubbock. The Red Raiders won their fourth straight game over DBU on March 22 with a come-from-behind win at Patriot Field. Texas Tech has won five of the last six and eight of the last 11 matchups overall. Tech and DBU have played every year since 2003. Tech's current four-game streak over DBU is the longest in series history.
