"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

Who are the biggest influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"On the field, it's always been my coaches, and off the field, it's always been my mom and my granddad, just because they've always supported me the most, had my back, playing a good game, playing a bad game, they've always been there for me"
What was the main aspect of Texas Tech and its football program that stood out the most amongst other schools during the recruiting process?
"The thing that stood out the most was the recruiting class, probably one of the best in history, and also the players that are already here, it's a great program to build on."
