Tanui Named Big 12 Runner of the Week

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech senior Rose Tanui was named the Big 12 Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance at the Texas Tech Ruidoso Open.
Tanui beat the field by seven seconds to win her fifth-career title as a Lady Raiders. She led the team to a perfect score to beat Eastern New Mexico. It is the second-straight year Tanui has won the Texas Tech Ruidoso Open.
Tech's next race will be the Texas Tech Open held at Meadowbrook Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 16.
