The game marked the 14th time the two schools have met on the softball field with Stanford now winning 13 of those 14 contests.
The Red Raiders are now 0-10 all-time when facing Stanford in a neutral site contest.
The loss was Tech's third-consecutive, marking the school's longest losing streak in a regular season non-conference action since facing Texas State on April 13 and then UTEP in a doubleheader on April 23, 2009.
The loss also dropped Tech to 10-4 under head coach Shanon Hays at the Kajikawa Classic. Tech is 15-8 in its last five appearances at the event.
The Red Raiders had not been held to just one run over a two-game stretch since Nebraska swept a two-game series on April 10-11, 2010. Tech was shutout in the finale of that series.
For the second-straight game, the front of Tech's lineup combined to go hitless as the 1-3 hitters were 0-for-9 against the Cardinal.
Mikey Kenney, who scored Tech's only run off a second-inning homer, turned 21 on Saturday. Tech head coach Shanon Hays' birthday is on Sunday.
