Red Raider Tennis Climbs To No. 22 In ITA Poll

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech climbed up one spot in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings to No. 22, marking the 37th consecutive appearance in the poll's top 25 for the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech (8-4), who was No. 23 last week, notched wins over then No. 41 Louisville and Cal Poly.
The Red Raiders face No. 8 Pepperdine on Wednesday in Malibu, Calif., and No. 61 UC Santa Barbara on Thursday in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Red Raider Gonzalo Escobar slipped three spots from No. 56 to No. 59 in this week's singles rankings. Escobar picked up a pair of wins against Louisville and Cal Poly.
The doubles tandem of Raony Carvalho and Rafael Garcia slipped from No. 55 to No. 58 in this week's doubles rankings.
