Manzini And Zambon Win Big 12 Position Titles

IRVING, Texas - Texas Tech junior Vitor Manzini and freshman Francisco Zambon have been awarded the Big 12 Conference singles titles for men's tennis at their respective positions.
Manzini, who is 21-9 this season, went 4-1 in Big 12 play at No. 4 singles to win the title. Manzini is one of four Red Raiders to win at least 14 matches during the dual match season. The native of Brazil has gone 14-6 in dual matches.
Zambon, who joined the Red Raiders in January, went 4-1 in Big 12 play at No. 6 singles to win the title. Overall, Zambon is 12-11 on the season and 9-11 in dual matches.
The Red Raiders will now await the NCAA selection committee, who will announce the field for the 2012 NCAA Championships on Tuesday.
