Texas Tech will open the 2013-14 men's basketball season with an exhibition game with Angelo State University tonight at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
The game will be televised on Fox College Sports Atlantic and can be heard on the Texas Tech Sports Network, including locally on Double T 104.3 FM.
Texas Tech returns nine letterwinners and four starters from last season. The Red Raider roster features four seniors, four juniors, two sophomore and five freshmen.
Leading the way for Texas Tech is three-year letterman Jaye Crockett, who led the Red Raiders in scoring (11.9 points) and rebounds (6.5) last season. Other key returners include junior Jordan Tolbert and Dejan Kravic. Tolbert averaged 9.9 points and 5.5 rebounds last season, while Kravic added 9.0 points and 5.2 rebounds.
In all, The Red Raiders return 73.7 percent of its offense from last season.
The Red Raiders officially kick of the season Nov. 8 at the United Spirit Arena against Houston Baptist at 7 p.m.
