Lady Raiders Continue Play At Purdue Invitational

Texas Tech freshman Hortense Boscher is 5-1 combined in singles and doubles at the Purdue Invitational.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Freshmen Hortense Boscher and Sabrina Federici paced the Lady Raiders on the second day of the Purdue Invitational at the Schwartz Tennis Center on Saturday.
After going 7-1 on the first day, Texas Tech was just 4-4 on day two of the event.
Boscher and Federici cruised to singles wins on Saturday, as Boscher outlasted Miami's Hannah Shteyn, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, and Federici topped Miami's Ana Rajkovic, 6-1, 6-1.
The pair then split doubles, as the Boscher-Federici tandem topped Ramona Costea and Andrea Badileanu of Miami, 8-4. The duo was not as lucky against Purdue's Daniela Vidal and Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum, as the Boilermakers won 8-2.
Katelyn Jackson and Samantha Czarniak Rego both dropped singles matches, but combined for an 8-6 win over Louisville's Aleksandra Mally and Olivia Boesing.
The Lady Raiders will return to action on Sunday morning at the event.
