Texas Tech Alters Schedule For Weekend Tournament

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech softball coach Shanon Hays announced Thursday morning an updated schedule for this weekend's Texas Tech Invitational after Southern notified athletics department officials of its intention to withdraw from the tournament Wednesday evening.
The Red Raiders will now face Sam Houston State in a three-game series beginning Friday evening before closing the tournament with a single game against Abilene Christian on Sunday.
Tech was originally scheduled for five games this weekend with a doubleheader against Sam Houston State and Southern on Friday and Saturday and then the tournament finale against Abilene Christian on Sunday.
Tickets for the Texas Tech Invitational will be available each day at the Rocky Johnson Field entrance. Fans can view the promotions schedule for each day at www.texastech.com.
