NO. 30 TECH WELCOMES NMSU FOR FOUR-GAME SERIES
No. 30 Texas Tech (10-3) continues its homestand hosting New Mexico State (7-5), Mar. 6-9, for a four-game non-conference series at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. The Red Raiders will look to continue success on their home field while bringing into this weekend an eight-game home winning streak. This weekend marks New Mexico State's first time away from home this season after opening the season with a 12-game homestand. Dating back to 2006, Tech has won 10 straight home non-conference series (25-6). Tech has started the season with 10 wins through 13 games for the 12th time in school history and just the third time during the last 16 years. Tech is coming off its most prolific offensive performance of the season against the New Mexico Lobos - posting season-highs in at-bats (37), hits (17), doubles (4), triples (2), total bases (28) and sacrifice bunts (2). The Aggies enter the weekend after dropping 3-of-4 against Oakland in Las Cruces last weekend. Prior to that series, NMSU won its first two series of the season taking 3-of-4 from both St. Mary's and SIU-Edwardsville.
