LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech volleyball will hold its annual Red & Black match on Saturday, Aug. 22, at United Supermarkets Arena, at 1:00 p.m.
All fans will receive complimentary admission to the scrimmage, and will be asked to use the west ground-level doors by the ticket office to enter the arena as they have in the past.
However, this season, all fans will be asked to sit on the east side of the arena. This will be the seating arrangement for all Texas Tech volleyball matches for the foreseeable future, in an attempt to enhance the viewing experience, both for fans at the arena and those watching on TV or via live stream.
Having put in some true quality work to start fall camp, the Red & Black scrimmage affords us the opportunity to see some of our athletes in pressure situations," Texas Tech head coach Don Flora said. "The depth we have put together will make this one of the most competitive Red & Black scrimmages we have been able to put on the floor of the United Supermarkets Arena.
Texas Tech will start the 2015 campaign here in Lubbock, with the Texas Tech Invitational. The Red Raiders will face Utah State and Louisiana-Lafayette on Aug. 28, before taking on Houston on Aug. 29.
