Grubb moves up school’s all-time assist list in loss.
LUBBOCK, Texas –Texas Tech volleyball fell 3-0 at Iowa State Saturday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

The Cyclones (10-8, 2-4) outhit the Red Raiders .374 to .081 for the match en route to the 25-13, 25-14, 25-15 victory.

Jess Schaben led the way for Iowa State with a match-high 10 kills, while four other Cyclones recorded at least six kills each, respectively. Suzanne Horner and Monique Harris combined for 37 assists, and Hali Hillegas led all defenders with 21 digs.

Senior setter Marguerite Grubb posted 25 assists in the contest, giving her 2,341 for her career to move her into ninth place on Texas Tech's career assists list. The Houston native, who recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 12 digs, passed Mary Loescher (1985-87) to move into the ninth slot.

Senior Lauren Douglass led the charge for Texas Tech with eight kills. Freshman Chandler Atwood provided a spark with seven kills at a .700 clip. Sophomore libero Reyn Akiu battled through injury to post 10 digs.

This marks the 10th straight loss for the Red Raiders (10-12, 0-7) since its 10-match win streak.
