No. 8 Red Raiders Set To Tee Off At Paintbrush Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's golf team, which recently moved up to No. 8 in the Golfweek Men's Team Collegiate Rankings, resumes its fall slate on Monday at the Paintbrush Invitational, Oct. 10-11, in Denver, Colo.
Action at the Colorado Golf Club begins Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT, with a shotgun start. The first 36 holes will be played Monday with a 3 p.m. CT start for round two. Tuesday's final round will begin at a time to be determined.
The No. 8 Red Raiders will be joined by three other members of the Golfweek Top 25 in the 15-team field: No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 20 Colorado and the defending NCAA Champion, No. 15 Oregon.
"We're excited to play in a tournament we haven't participated in before," head coach Greg Sands said. "I wasn't sure what to expect from a weather standpoint when it comes to Colorado in October, but it looks like we're going to luck out with nice weather. This is a great opportunity for us to continue to fine-tune our game while going up against some of the nation's best."
Representing the Red Raiders this week are Hannes Ronneblad, Ivan Ramirez, Hurly Long, Federico Zucchetti and Big 12 Golfer of the Month Fredrik Nilehn.
