Admission is $5 for an adult or child pass, while children five years old and under will receive free admission.
Texas Tech began the spring slate with a 4-1 win over Lubbock Christian University at the United Supermarkets Arena on March 28. The Red Raiders claimed the first four sets over the Chaparrals by scores of: 25-14, 25-22, 25-14, 25-14, and battled back from a 14-8 deficit in set five, but ultimately fell, 15-13.
Saturday's tournament will mark the second under new head coach Tony Graystone. Tech also competed in the San Angelo State Tournament on April 2 and against Wayland Baptist on April 11.
The Red Raiders return 12 student-athletes from last year's squad, including seniors Marguerite Grubb and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region honoree Lauren Douglass. Douglass set the school record in hitting percentage behind a clip of .377 last season, while also leading the team in kills (280), kills per set (2.95) and blocks (89). Grubb (1,007) became the first Red Raider since 2013 to record 1,000 assists in a single season. Coming into 2016, she only needs 21 assists to crack into the top 10 in career assists records at Texas Tech.
