Friday's Series Opener Against Texas Declared a Black Out

Texas Tech fans are encouraged to wear black to Friday's series opener against Texas. First pitch against the Longhorns is slated for 6:30 p.m. on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech is calling for a Black Out of Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park on Friday evening when the 7th-ranked Red Raiders open a three-game series against in-state rival Texas.
All Red Raider fans are encouraged to wear black to Friday's series opener which is set for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch. Tickets for all three games of the series are already sold out.
Fans unable to attend this weekend's series can watch all three games on FOX Sports Southwest Plus as Tech will also host the Longhorns at 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Red Raiders (30-10) enter the weekend series atop the Big 12 standings as Tech's 11-1 start to league play marks its best record through 12 games in school history. Texas, meanwhile, arrives in Lubbock with a 17-20 overall record which includes a 7-5 mark in Big 12 play.
