The Rimington Trophy has been presented annually to the nation's top center since 2000. The award is named in honor of Dave Rimington, who was a consensus first-team All-America center at Nebraska in 1981 and 1982. During that time, Rimington became the only two-time winner of the John Outland Trophy which is presented to the nation's top interior lineman.
