
Kingsbury Announces Summer Football Camp Dates

Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury has announced his 2016 summer football camp schedule.

LUBBOCK, Texas --Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury has announced his 2016 summer camp schedule, which features 11 camps spanning the months of June and July.
"We're always excited to host these summer camps," Kingsbury said. "It's a chance for kids of all ages to come out and have a great time while learning more about the game they love. As coaches, we really enjoy the chance to get to teach these kids. It's always a great time for everyone involved."
The Texas Tech Football Staff will host a variety of camps accommodating different age groups and different positions. A breakdown of the camps is listed below.

YOUTH CAMPS (June 2-4, 2016 & July 20-22, 2016):
The youth camps are open to all those entering 3rd through 8th grade. The camp will provide position-specific drill work and different opportunities to compete. Campers have the option to participate for the day or stay overnight. The camp will be held at the Football Training Facility.
LUBBOCK MINI CAMPS (June 4, 2016 & June 11, 2016):
The Lubbock Mini Camps are open to those entering 9th through 12th grade. The camp will provide position-specific drill work and different opportunities to compete. This will be a one-day camp only. The camps will be held at the Football Training Facility.

HIGH SCHOOL CAMP (June 8-10, 2016):
The High School Camp is open to those entering 9th through 12th grade. The camp will provide greater instruction and more position-specific drill work. In all, there will be six different practices within this camp. Campers have the option to participate for the day or stay overnight. The camp will be held at the Football Training Facility.
QUARTERBACK ACADEMY (June 12-13, 2016):
The Quarterback Academy is open to those entering 9th through 12th grade. The camp will focus solely on the quarterback position. The camp will work at times with the participants of the Skills Camp for some one-on-one work and different passing drills. In all, there will be four different practices within this camp focusing on position-specific drill work and quarterback specific competitions. Campers have the option to participate for the day or stay overnight. The camp will be held at the Football Training Facility.
SKILLS CAMP (June 12-13, 2016):
The Skills Camp is open to those entering 9th through 12th grade. Running backs, wide receivers, linebackers and defensive backs are the target for this camp. The camp will focus on specific drill work by position and teach general offensive and defensive schemes. The camp will work at times with the participants of the Quarterback Academy and the Offensive & Defensive Line Camp. In all, there will be four different practices within this camp. Campers have the option to participate for the day or stay overnight. The camp will be held at the Football Training Facility.
OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE LINE CAMP (June 12-13, 2016):
The Offensive & Defensive Line Camp is open to those entering 9th through 12th grade. The camp will focus on specific drill work by position and teach general offensive and defensive schemes. In all, there will be four different practices within this camp. Campers have the option to participate for the day or stay overnight. The camp will be held at the Football Training Facility.
TRAVELING MINI CAMPS (June 14-16, 2016; July 24, 2016):
The Traveling Mini Camps are open to those entering 9th through 12th grade. The camp will provide position-specific drill work and different opportunities to compete. These camps will be for one day-only.
The Houston Mini Camp will be held on June 14th at Bellaire Episcopal High School. The East Texas Mini Camp will be held on June 15th at Longview High School. There will be two Dallas Mini Camps. The first will be at Euless Trinity High School on June 16th and the second will be held at Duncanville High School on July 24th. Registration at the traveling camps held on June 14th, 15th and 16th will start at 5:30 pm. Camp will start at 6:30 pm. For the camp on July 24th, registration will start at 12:00 pm and camp will start at 1:00 pm.
