Lady Raiders cap 2016 season with 13th place finish at NCAA Stanford Regional.

STANFORD, Calif. - Texas Tech women's golf carded a three-day 896 (14-over) to cap the 2016 season with a 13th-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Stanford Regional Saturday afternoon.The Lady Raiders turned in a third round 298 (14-over) to finish eight strokes back of No. 15 Virginia who checked in at sixth place becoming the final team from the Stanford Regional to advance to the 2016 NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore., May 20-25th.
No. 2 Southern California and No. 12 Stanford finished in a tie for first at the event with a team score of 856 (four-over) through three days of play at the Stanford Golf Course. No. 31 Ohio State finished in third with a 875 (23-over) followed by No. 45 North Carolina who finished 26-over. No. 7 Arkansas rounded out the top-five with an 883.
Senior Kimmy Hill and sophomores Gabby Barker and Lauren Mason paced the Red Raiders through the three days of competition as all three tied for 33rd at the Regional with a 223 (10-over). Freshman Mami Yamamoto checked in just behind the trio at 232 (19-over). Senior Sarah Brown rounded out the Lady Raider scorecard with a three-day 236.
The 13th-place finish ended the 2016 season that saw the Lady Raiders record eight top-10 finishes in the regular season, including two individual championships en route to Tech's sixth NCAA Regional appearance in the past seven seasons.
