Lady Raiders Foreign Tour: Aug. 18
August 18, 2016 | Women's Basketball
LISBON, Portugal --Â The Texas Tech Lady Raiders toured more of Portugal and played their first game overseas on Thursday. For a complete breakdown, here's today's blog entry, courtesy of No. 10 Grayson Bright.
Hi Lady Raider fans -- Grayson here!
It's day number four in Lisbon, but most importantly it's gameday! This morning we all split up into different groups to have our "Tablet Challenge" which was an exciting way to get to see the city and learn interesting facts! The groups were given a tablet with 21 different places to visit and things to see, then there were challenges of taking pictures and videos with some of the places! The groups were lead to a nearby park, a gelato parlor, and a juice bar on the beach.Â
Once the challenge was over we all had free time to eat and rest up before the game. After our rest we took a 30 minute bus ride to the gym where we played, and that was pretty cool because we got our own little charter bus and I felt really, really important. As a team I feel like we all played really well and hustled all the time, which is why we won by 40 points. That was a pretty cool experience as my first collegiate basketball game!
