Men's Basketball Heads to KC for Big 12 Media Day

Follow the Red Raiders on the program’s social media outlets from Kansas City on Tuesday.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech men's basketball head coach Chris Beard and all five members of the senior class will make the trip to 2017 Big 12 Media Day at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on Tuesday.
The Red Raiders will give their fans an all-access pass to everything from Kansas City. Zach Smith, Niem Stevenson and Tommy Hamilton IV will take over the program's Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts (@TexasTechMBB) during the event. Justin Gray also will be mic'd up for a behind-the-scenes look, and Keenan Evans will take questions from fans during a Facebook Live session on the Red Raider Basketball Facebook page.
The Big 12 Digital Network will carry Coach Beard's press conference at 9:15 a.m. CT on www.Big12sports.com.
Evans and Smith were recently the third set of Texas Tech teammates to be named All-Big 12 Preseason. The duo joins Jarrius Jackson and Martin Zeno in 2005-06 along with John Roberson and Mike Singletary in 2010-11.
The Red Raiders were selected to finish in seventh place in the Big 12 coaches preseason poll released last week.
Texas Tech takes on Angelo State in an exhibition game on Friday, November 3rd before squaring off with South Alabama on Friday, November 10th to start the regular season.
The Red Raiders ranked 26th in the nation for the largest average attendance increase between the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. More season tickets have already been sold for 2017-18 than all of last season. Fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets now to reserve the best available seats.
Tickets are on-sale and feature an affordable season ticket package that starts at $99.
