Women's Tennis Finishes Off KU Invite

Texas Tech completes fall team schedule in Lawrence, Kansas.
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Texas Tech women's tennis team wrapped up the team portion of its fall schedule during Sunday's Kansas Invitational at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.
The Lady Raiders tallied six singles wins and four doubles victories on the weekend. Three of the four doubles wins came courtesy of Alex Angyalosy and Katelyn Jackson who registered a perfect 3-0 mark on the weekend.
Angyalosy, Jackson and Gabriela Tenorio capped off the tournament with singles wins on Sunday over opponents from the event's host Kansas and Maryland. Jackson claimed a pair of 6-2 set wins over Kansas' Toran Ribes whereas Tenorio took care of Amber Policare of Kansas in a three-set decision with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 victory. Angyalosy upended Maryland's Millie Stretton by a 6-1, 7-5 margin.
The Lady Raiders start their spring schedule on January 13-15 when Texas Tech competes at the Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
