Dvorak, Federici drop tough final match to Duke

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – After a strong week at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships, senior doubles duo Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici fell in the final match of the doubles main draw Sunday afternoon.

The Lady Raiders fell to No. 25 Hamlin and McCarthy of Duke in a tough tiebreaker. Dvorak and Federici opened with a 6-4 victory in the first set before the Blue Devils forced a tiebreak with a 6-3 win in the second set. Tech battled to the end, but the Duke pair came out with a 10-6 win in tiebreaks.

Texas Tech returns to action next weekend at the ITA Texas Regionals in Fort Worth, Texas.
