KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Texas Tech men's basketball team has arrived in Kansas City for the 2017 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship. The Red Raiders, slated as the tournament's No. 7 seed, will tip things off Wednesday night against Texas, at 8 p.m.
The Red Raiders departed Lubbock early Tuesday morning and arrived in Kansas City at noon. The team enjoyed lunch at the hotel before departing for an off-site practice at a local community college.Â

After the off-site practice, the Red Raiders then hopped on the bus and went to the Sprint Center. Tech concluded a spirited shootaround with games of one-on-one pitting members of the support staff against one another with the team looking on.
