Men's Track & Field Sprints into USTFCCCA Top-10

The men’s track & field team moves up to No. 10 in the latest USTFCCCA rankings.
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's track & field team is ranked No. 10 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) computer rankings.

This is the third-straight week in which the Red Raiders have been ranked in the top 15.

A 200-meter time of 20.43 from the Sun Angel Classic ranks Andrew Hudson fourth nationally and holds the top spot in the Big 12. This time also serves as a No. 9 world ranked mark.

Hudson claimed the Texas Tech all-time outdoor record with this lifetime-best performance.

C.J. Jones and Vincent Crisp also had strong showings in the men's 800-meter run, notching personal-bests of 1:46.70 and 1:47.66 respectively. The two are nationally ranked at No. 5 and No. 10.

Jones' run is also ranked ninth in the world and first in the Big 12.

Kyle Collins ran a 45.79 400-meter dash, currently ranking him sixth in the NCAA.

Darien Tennon clocked a 14.29 100-meter hurdle time of 14.29 that currently holds a No. 3 conference ranking.

Next up, the Red Raiders will be in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Horned Frog Invitational on April 15.
