Has run in six meets for Tech ... was First Team All-Big 12 in the 800m, finishing fifth with a season-best 1:47.79 in a very tough field ... was a member of Tech's winning 4x400 relay at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout, where he also finished second in the 800m ... added versatility to the Red Raiders at the Texas Relays, running on their third-place SMR team and helping them to a 3:17.86.
2019 INDOOR
Ran in six meets to begin his senior campaign … began his year at the Corky Classic with a win in the 600-yard while also helping the 4x400 team to a win … ran the second leg of the 4x400 at the Red Raider Open, helping Tech to a 3:04.93 for the second-fastest time in program history … also at the Red Raider Open, he came as close to his own collegiate record in the 600-yard as he would all year, running a 1:08.46 to come within three-tenths of a second of the then-record … qualified for nationals with a 1:47.28 in the 800m at the Texas Tech Classic.
2018 OUTDOOR
Ran at eight meets for the Red Raiders … began year by winning the 1500m at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational with a PR 4:00.12 … won the 800m at the Sun Angel Classic with a career-best 1:46.31 while helping 4x400 team finish runner-up … placed second in the 800m at the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout … scored 10 points for the Raiders at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a first-place finish in the 800m … took third in the 800m at the NCAA West Preliminary to qualify for nationals … placed 10th in the 800 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
2018 INDOOR
Ran in six meets … began season by winning the 600 yard with a 1:08.16 … took second in the 800 at the Texas Tech Classic … finished runner-up in the 800m at the Texas Tech Shootout … won the 600 yard while also helping DMR team to a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Indoor Championships .. ran the 800m at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
2017 OUTDOOR
Ran in nine outdoor meets during the 2017 season ... qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships where he wrangled First Team All-America honors ... garnered two All-Big 12 honors, in times of 1:50.25 (800m) and 3:05.40 (4x400), claiming silver medals in both events ... ran a lifetime-best 800m at the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Arizona, clocking a 1:47.66 run to rank him 10th nationally ... Crisp was a part of the 4x400 relay that qualified to compete on the national stage in Eugene, Oregon, which wrangled fifth-place overall with their 3:02.29 race ... that relay marked fastest Red Raider race since the 2005 championships relay.
2017 INDOOR
Competed in six meets for the Red Raiders ... finished first in the 600m at the New Mexico Classic with a time of 1:17.60 ... finished first in the 800m at the Tyson Invitational clocking a 1:48.96 run ...also took part in the No. 5 school record 4x400-relay time of 3:05.95 at the Tyson Invitational ... claimed two All-Big 12 honors at the conference championship in the 800m and 4x400-meter relay.
2016 SUMMER
Qualified for the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships & will represent Team USA in the 800 meters in Poland ... ran the fifth-fastest time in the prelims after finishing second in his heat at 1:49.91 ... in the final, sat in fourth until the final 200 meters, then unleashed a monster kick to earn a come-from-behind victory and a personal-best of 1:46.97 to win the title ... his time not only broke the facility record but also the meet record ... it is also the fastest time by a Red Raider in the event since Jonathan Johnson in 2005.
2016 OUTDOOR
Finished 15th at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking in with a time of 3:06.62 to earn second Team All-America honors ... ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay team which finished second in their heat to auto-qualify, sixth overall at 3:04.87 ... the time was a season-best ... it is the 10th mile relay to advance to the NCAA Championships in school history, second consecutive ... just missed out on a qualifying spot in the 800-meter run after placing 13th in the quarterfinals at 1:48.87 ... entered the NCAA West Preliminaries with a time of 1:47.96 in the men's 800 meters, which ranked 16th in the region ... the time came at the Michael Johnson Invitational on April 23 en route to a second-place finish ... opened the outdoor slate with a first-place finish at the TCU Invitational at 1:51.22 ... added another second-place mark at the Wes Kittley Invitational (1:51.81) on April 9 ... at the Big 12 Championships, he earned an automatic qualifying spot into the final after finishing second in his heat at 1:50.20 ... posted another fourth-place finish in the final at 1:49.70 ... picked up his second All-Big 12 accolade after running the third leg of the 4x400 relay, helping Tech to a bronze medal in the event at 3:09.85 ... been a part of six mile relays this season, posting top three finishes in five of the six, including two event wins.
2016 INDOOR
Put together a strong freshman indoor season in the 800 meters, while also competing on the 4x400-meter relay four times in his first year in collegiate track & field ... posted a first-place finish at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 12 after circling the track to a personal-best 1:50.64 ... qualified for the final at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the 800m and would go on to place fourth and rack up a PR in the final with a time of 1:50.03 to earn All-Big 12 honors ... also helped the men's 4x400 relay team to a fourth-place finish and All-Big 12 accolades at the conference meet at 3:09.55.
NORTH MECKLINBURG HIGH SCHOOL
Won the 400 meters at the N.C. AAU Region 5 qualifier with a personal-best 48.47 ... Took third in the 800 meters at the AAU National Junior Olympics, running a personal-best 1:50.99 ... Six-time high school All-American ... came to Texas Tech as the No. 1 800-meter runner in the state of Missouri and No. 6 in the U.S.
