Thomson Collects CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

Bjorn Thomson advances to the national ballot as a CoSIDA Academic Men’s At-Large District 7 First-Team pick.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Bjorn Thomson of the Texas Tech men's tennis team came away with 2017 CoSIDA Academic Men's At-Large District 7 First-Team honors announced Thursday by the national organization.
Thomson, a sophomore from Birmingham, United Kingdom, carries a 4.00 GPA while majoring in Sport Management. The first-team selection enables Thomson to advance to the national ballot where the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team will be announced on June 8.
Thomson secured a 14-3 dual match record and a No. 79 ITA singles ranking. He also pairs with Connor Curry and holds a No. 18 ITA doubles ranking. The duo has been selected to compete in the NCAA Doubles Championships later this month.
