Curry and Sendegeya Notch Big 12 All-Tournament Nods

IRVING, Texas – Connor Curry and Alex Sendegeya tucked away Big 12 All-Tournament Team honors for the Texas Tech men's tennis team announced Monday by the conference office.
For Sendegeya, it marked the second straight time he earned Big 12 All-Tournament Team accolades for singles. He captured back-to-back wins over ranked opponents in this year's event. The Liverpool native defeated No. 59 Johannes Schretter of Baylor by a 6-4, 6-3 margin and added a 7-6 (4), 1-6, 6-1 win over No. 110 Lucas Gerch of Oklahoma State.
Curry also reeled off two singles wins for the Red Raiders. He upended Baylor's Jimmy Bendick by a 6-4, 7-6 (4) margin for the match-clinching point in the quarters coupled with a 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 decision over Oklahoma State's Tristian Mereat.
Texas Tech will await the announcement of the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships field which will take place on Wednesday. The Red Raiders are slated to have No. 29 Jolan Cailleau in the 64-player singles draw along with No. 11 Curry and Bjorn Thomson in the 32-team doubles draw.
