Men's Tennis Finishes No. 32 in ITA Rankings

The Red Raiders are ranked among the nation’s Top 35 for the ninth time in the last 13 seasons.
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Texas Tech men's tennis team came away with a No. 32 Oracle/ITA team ranking in the final poll announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The Red Raiders have been listed inside the nation's Top 35 nine times since 2005. Texas Tech notched a trio of wins over its final four matches against ITA Top 15 opponents in No. 9 Baylor and No. 15 Oklahoma State.
The Big 12 boasted a nation-leading five programs among the ITA's Top 20 headed by No. 8 TCU followed by No. 9 Baylor, No. 11 Texas, No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 15 Oklahoma State.
Texas Tech is slated to return four of six members of its singles lineup from the 2017 season highlighted by Bjorn Thomson, Alex Sendegeya and Connor Curry who accounted for 43 of the team's 67 singles victories during dual match play between the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 positions.
