Lady Raiders Conclude 2017 Season at NCAA Championships

Maltby, Talaba, Dovrak and Federici eliminated at NCAA Singles, Doubles Competition

ATHENS, Ga. – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team ends its season at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships this afternoon.

No. 9 Gabriela Talaba fell in two sets (6-4, 6-2) to Michigan's Brienne Minor, snapping an 11-match win streak. Talaba ends the season with a team-leading 25-7 record.

No. 44 Anna Danilina (Florida) dropped No. 58 Felicity Maltby in straight sets (6-1, 6-1). Maltby fell to 18-11 on the season.

Doubles duo Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici suffered a 6-2, 7-5 loss to No. 15 Maddie Lipp and Alex Chatt of Northwestern in the opening round of the doubles competition. The two posted a 16-11 record this season as the No. 1 doubles team for Tech.
