Lady Raiders capture eight wins in opening weekend
MIDLAND, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team wrapped up its first tournament of the 2017 fall season as they captured five singles wins and three doubles wins.
Junior newcomer Lana Rush picked up her first two wins as a Lady Raider, advancing to the quarterfinals in the singles flight one.
Freshman Gabriela Tenorio made her way to the flight two quarterfinals and posted a 1-1 record on the weekend.
After a bye in the round of 32, doubles duo Jackson and Rush picked up two wins on their way to the semifinals. They ended up falling to the doubles tournament champions.
