Lady Raiders Sweep Singles Play on Final Day of Tourney

Lady Raiders return to action next weekend at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas Tech Women's Tennis swept singles play on the final day of the Big 5 Challenge.

Freshman Alex Angyalosy finished the weekend with a 3-1 record after defeating Virginia's Maya Das in straight sets (6-3, 6-1). Senior Sabrina Federici followed with a 2-1 record with a two-set sweep over Alex Najarian of Michigan.

Senior Sarah Dvorak posted a 2-2 record on the weekend as she took down Arizona State's Sasa Klanacek on the final day of play.

The Lady Raiders return to action next weekend at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Senior Gabriela Talaba was selected to compete in the main draw of the tournament while junior Felicity Maltby was selected to the qualifying round. Sabrina Federici, Alex Valenstein and Sarah Dvorak were named to the pre-qualifying bracket, which is set to begin on Saturday.
