Tech In Seventh After Going Even Par On Day One

Tech’s Hurly Long in sixth individually
DALLAS, Texas – The No. 11 Texas Tech men's golf team is in seventh place following the first round of the Trinity Forest Invitational, in Dallas, Texas.
Through 18 holes at the par-71 Trinity Forest Golf Club, a familiar face leads the way for the Red Raiders. Hurly Long fired six birdies on Sunday, on the way to a first-round 68. At 3-under, he is tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard.
As a team, the Red Raiders went even par on the day, sitting just nine shots out of the lead in a field including seven top-50 teams in the country.
Ivan Ramirez (E) is tied for 23rd, Fredrik Nilehn (+1) is tied for 33rd, Sandy Scott (+2) is tied for 47 and Adam Blomme (+9) is tied for 76th.
Playing as an individual, Kyle Hogan carded a 1-under 70, good enough to be in a tie for 14th individually through 18 holes.
The Red Raiders will begin round two at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, off the 10th tee, led by Blomme, who will be followed by Scott, Ramirez, Nilehn and Long. Hogan will tee off at 10:30 a.m., off the first tee.
