The Red Raiders will be welcomed by a sellout crowd Saturday versus No. 15 Oklahoma State
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will play in front of a capacity crowd against 15th-ranked Oklahoma State as tickets for Saturday's primetime kickoff are officially sold out, the athletics department announced Thursday morning.
Â
The sellout is the first for the Red Raiders this season and the third-straight against Big 12 Conference foes dating back to the end of the 2016 season. It will be the 15th time since 2010 Tech has played in front of at least 60,000 fans at home.
Â
The Red Raiders head into Saturday's contest with an undefeated 3-0 record after Tech took down Houston, 27-24, last weekend, snapping the Cougars' 16-game home winning streak in the process. Tech will be looking for its first 4-0 start since the 2013 season. Â
Â
Kickoff against the Cowboys is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday night with television coverage provided nationally by FOX's top crew of Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft. The game can also be heard over the air via the Texas Tech Sports Network as the radio call can be found over 46 affiliates throughout Texas and New Mexico as well as the TuneIn app and channel 81 on both Sirius and XM radio.
Â
The Oklahoma State game marks the halfway point on Tech's home slate as the Red Raiders still await visits from Iowa State (Oct. 21), Kansas State (Nov. 4) and TCU (Nov. 18). Fans can purchase tickets for all three of those games through the Raider Power Pack, which is priced at only $120 per person.
Â
Tickets can be purchased online or by contacting the Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH.
