The senior eclipsed the 3,000 career assist milestone in Friday's win over Iowa State
Senior setter Missy Owens transferred to Texas Tech after two seasons at Long Beach State. She made an instant impact on the Red Raider program, helping lead the turnaround under third-year head coach Tony Graystone.
A 2017 All-Big 12 Second Team selection, Missy was selected on the 2018 Preseason All-Big 12 Team and engineers an offense that has the Red Raiders tied atop the Big 12 standings at 3-0.Â
She reached a career milestone in Friday's match against Iowa State, surpassing 3,000 assists for her collegiate career with a season-high 54 on the evening. With the Red Raiders playing their best ball since 2000, she spoke with Double T Insider's Taylor Peters prior to our midweek tilt against Kansas State.Â
