TOPPING THE RANKS
The Texas Tech men recorded their highest ranking in program history this week, coming in at No. 2 overall. This is the fourth-straight week that the Red Raiders have received a top-ten ranking and third-straight week of a top-five ranking. Eight performances contributed to this upward rise, two of which were Divine Oduduru's 60m (6.58) and 200m (20.18) dash performances. Also adding 200m marks to the count was Andrew Hudson and Steven Champlin with their 20.42 and 20.89 marks. In the jumps, Odaine Lewis and Justin Hall lept their way onto the list. Lewis chalked up a 7.80m/25-7.25 long jump mark and a 15.93m/52-3.25 triple jump mark. Hall notched a new lifetime-best 15.64m/51-3.75 triple jump distance to finish second. Brandon Bray and Drew McMichael increased their pole vault personal-bests to a new 5.39m/17-8.25 bar. This height puts them ninth in Texas Tech indoor pole vault history, and sits them 13th in the nation this year.
WATCH LIST
Senior high jumper Trey Culver and freshman sprinter Divine Oduduru are among the 10 male names in the NCAA that currently reside on The Bowerman mid-indoor watch list. This marks the first time in program history that two Red Raider names have made an appearance on the watch list for this award at the same time. Culver, a Lubbock native, has fully absorbed the home-crowd advantage at the new Sports Performance Center, bringing in school record performances from both of his competitions this year... his best being 2.33m/7-7.75 from the Corky Classic home opener. This mark sits first in the nation and seventh in the world. Oduduru has also grown fond of the facility, bringing in five Texas Tech all-time record performances, two of which were in his first-ever indoor 200m performances. The most recent was Oduduru's 20.18 200m win, securing both a world and nation lead.

Next up, the Red Raiders will host their last home meet of the season, the Matador Qualifier meet, in hopes to qualify any last-minute marks to meet entry standards for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in College Station, Texas, on March 2-3.
