Evans Notches USBWA All-America Accolades

Evans has been selected to All-America awards by two publications.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Texas Tech's Keenan Evans collected United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-America Second-Team honors as announced Monday.
He is the second player in program history to secure a USBWA All-America selection. He joins Andre Emmett who was a USBA All-America First-Team pick in 2003-04. Evans also was named Sporting New All-America Third Team last week.
Evans has averaged 17.5 points, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. All three marks are ranked among the Big 12's Top 15 highlighted by the 17.5 points per game which are second on the Big 12 leaderboard. Texas Tech has won 11 of 12 games this season when Evans provides 20 or more points most recently a 25-point effort against Texas during last week's Big 12 Championships
Evans has racked up 1,498 career points which is 16th on Texas Tech's all-time list. He heads into Thursday's action 28 points away from Rayford Young (1997-98-99-2000). Evans also has distributed 332 career assists, good enough for 10th place in program history.
