Evans Claims AP All-America Status

Keenan Evans is the third player in program history to secure consensus All-America honors.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's Keenan Evans garnered Associated Press (AP) All-America Third-Team honors as announced Tuesday.
Evans becomes the third player in program history to come away with AP All-America accolades. He joins Jason Sasser (1995-96) and Andre Emmett (2003-04).
The AP is among the outlets used for the official NCAA consensus All-America Team. The AP selection made Evans 4-for-4 and the program's third consensus All-America pick. He previously tucked away accolades from the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC), Sporting News and United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Sasser and Emmett were the previous consensus All-America selections for the Red Raiders.
Evans capped his senior season with 17.6 points and 3.2 assists per game. The 17.6 points are second on the Big 12 leaderboard. He wrapped his career with 1,571 career points which is 13th on the program's all-time list. Evans also handed out 346 assists which was good enough for eighth place. He is one of four players to rack up over 1,500 points, 350 rebounds 325 assists and 125 steals.
